Prices for the cottages

Payment

• Preferred payment is by Bank Transfer in Euro.
• 8 weeks prior to arrival: the full rental price is to be paid, including additional costs (e.g., tourist stay tax and security deposit).
• Cheques are accepted only from French nationals — and only if the booking is not less than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date.

Bank transfers: IBAN and SEPA

European banks all use the IBAN and SEPA (Single European Payment Area) procedures. Please ask for our IBAN number if you would like to instruct your bank to make your rental payment directly to our IBAN account.

Additional fees

Secure your booking – deposit

A deposit is payable at the time of booking. The amount depends on the number of days booked. A deposit of 40% of the total rental rate is required to secure your booking. The balance payment is to be paid no later than 8 weeks before your arrival date. The 40% deposit is deducted from your final balance payment.

Tourist STAY tax (Taxe de Séjour)

A tourist stay tax is levied for each person from the age of 18 years.

• The tourist tax is payable at the time of the rental balance payment.

SECURITY (DAMAGES) CAUTION

The security (damages) caution depends on the duration of the rental period and is payable before the rental period begins.

• For the first two weeks, 400 €
• For each following week, 150 €
• It is payable at the time of your rental balance payment.

The security (damages) caution is refunded in full 14 days at the end of the rental period, less costs for any damages caused (heavily soiled towels, etc.).

Holiday house cleaning costs

We ensure a very high standard of cleanliness for all our guests; i.e., the house is thoroughly cleaned.
It is natural that a cottage will become dirty and untidy during your holiday. It is expected from all rental guests that when they leave, the cottage is left clean and tidy condition. If, however, the state of the cottage gives us cause for complaint, deductions will be made from the security (damage) caution to cover the cost of cleaning. Details of the security (damages) caution are integral to the travel contract.

Cleaning Service: We are aware that cleaning the cottage on the last day and day of departure is tedious. In this respect, we offer a “departure agreement” service, which allows you to enjoy the last day of your holiday without worrying about cleaning. You just need to tidy up, pack your cases, and load your car.

Rental during the cold months

Electricity and heating: an environmental-friendly heat pump provides hot water and heating in our cottages.

Owl Cottage
Electric convector radiators in every room. Heating costs are included in the price.

The Annexe
The heat pump central heating supplies the holiday house “The Annexe”. However, there are additional electric convector radiators. Heating costs are included in the rental price.

Woodstove and fireplace: The supply of wood for the woodstove and fireplace is not included in the rental price. The cost of wood depends on the amount you order. Please ask for the current wood price if you wish to use the wood-burning stove or fireplace.

Our Full-Service

We are one of only a few holiday houses in France offering an all-inclusive rental price. This includes:

• Total electricity consumption during the rental period
• Towels and bed linen (additional towels, shower mats, and bed linen can be provided on request for an additional rental fee)
• Household cleaning agents, soaps, and detergents
• Hairdryer in each bathroom
• Toilet paper
